  1. What OS does Mac Backup support?

    OSX (10.2.8 or greater), PowerPC and Intel Macs.
  2. How long should it take to download Mac Backup?

    Not long, even over most dial-up connections. The file is only 3.1 MB. If your connection is broken, simply try again. If you have any problems, please contact us.
  3. If I download again, do I need to register my account again?

    No. You only need to register your account once.
  4. What is the promotion code field? what should I enter?

    If you were referred by a consultant, enter the code you were given so he or she can get credit for the referral. Otherwise, simply leave this field blank.
  5. Can I try Mac Backup for more than 15 days?

    Yes. Please contact us to request an extension if you need it.
  6. Will you contact me when my free trial is over?

    Yes. We will contact you during the free trial period in case you have questions or problems, and to inform you when the trial is nearly over.
  7. Can I back up more than one Mac on my free trial?

    Yes. You can install and use Mac Backup on as many Macs as you want during the free trial. For each Mac, please use the same Account ID and password but a different computer ID.
  8. How do I install Mac Backup?

    • Sign up for your free Mac Backups 15-day trial.
    • Get your Mac Backup Account ID number from your email account and download the software.
    • Locate and double-click the disk image (BackJackX.dmg) in your Downloads to be guided through the setup wizard.
  9. When I try to back up, I get a "verification error". Why?

    Your Account ID and/or password are incorrectly entered.
    • When you enter an e-mail address and password to get the 15-Day Free Trial, you will receive an Account ID and password by e-mail.
    • The Account ID is usually the first 3 characters of your email address plus 5 numbers. The password is case sensitive.
    • If you have lost your Account ID and password, please contact us.
    • Launch Mac Backup to see the main Mac Backup console window. Open the preferences window. Correct the Account ID and password and click OK.
    • Try to back up again. If you still have problems, please contact us.
  10. How much data can I back up in the trial period?

    We allow up to 4 GB of data on the trial. If you need more than the default, please contact us.
